WHAT TO EXPECT
AT NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH

At New Life Baptist Church, we believe children are a blessing—not a burden—and we welcome them into our main worship services right alongside their families.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…” — Deuteronomy 6:6–7

✝️ What You’ll Notice:

Families Sit Together
From the smallest baby to the oldest saint, we gather as one body. We don’t separate children from the rest of the congregation during preaching or worship. We believe the best place for children to learn how to worship God is in church with their family.

No Children’s Church or Youth Programs During the Main Service
While we do love children and young people, we believe the primary responsibility for discipling them lies with parents.

We do offer Children's Sunday School classes beginning at 10 AM in our Fellowship Hall.

During the Sunday morning service, everyone worships and hears the preaching together.

Children Learn by Being Present
Over time, children grow accustomed to the preaching, the singing, and the spirit of worship. They learn by seeing their parents engage in the service and by being part of the congregation week after week.

An Old-Fashioned Approach
This is not a new idea. Throughout history, churches met as whole families. We’re simply continuing in that same old path—keeping things simple and Biblical.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14

🙋‍♀️ What If My Child Is Noisy?

You’re still welcome here. We know little ones sometimes make noise or need a little help staying focused—that’s okay. We’re a church family, and families come with all ages and stages. You’ll find grace here, not judgment.

Families Worship Together

At New Life Baptist Church, our worship is centered on the Lord Jesus Christ and grounded in the King James Bible. We believe church should be a place of reverence, truth, and heartfelt praise—not performance or entertainment.

We sing soul-stirring hymns that lift up the name of Jesus and prepare our hearts for the preaching of God’s Word. The preaching is clear, Bible-based, and Christ-centered—designed to convict, encourage, and strengthen every believer.

Before our Sunday School hour, we take time to honor both God and country with a set of pledges that reflect the values we hold dear:

Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands—one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Pledge to the Christian Flag

I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands. One Savior, crucified, risen and coming again, with life and liberty for all who believe.

Pledge to the Bible

I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word. I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.

These pledges are more than words—they reflect our desire to raise up a generation that loves God, honors His Word, and respects the foundations of our nation. We want every visitor to know: New Life Baptist Church is a place where Christ is magnified and the Bible is preached.

You’ll find that most of our folks dress in a modest way. Men often wear slacks and a button-up or a tie. Ladies often wear dresses or skirts. That said, we don’t have a dress code—just come ready to worship and reverence the Lord. We’re more concerned with the heart than the outfit.
